Hallo! So far it has been a busy busy month, I currently have FIVE new blades to post knife-porn of. The Gentleman's Back-up and the FKU pair will be publicly for sale. As for the Neckers, one of them (or maybe both, or maybe neither but probably one) will be up for sale, it depends on the waiting list for that one.

#609 - the Gentleman's Back-up. To quote Christof directly:
"I don't do a lot of file knives (though I'm working on a few more right now since I have been over run with old files). This is an older Nicholson, annealed and ground for a full convex blade. Heat treated, hand rubbed to 600 grit. For character I left a small hint of the file pattern up near the hilt and a tiny bit of forge pattern. Really sweet looking. Handle is wenge with green spacers. Green is a bit odd to use for this, but it really looked right when I was searching through the handle material cabinet. Turned out very attractive. Wenge is a wood with a harder and softer grain pattern (the dark and light areas) and when you do the final steel wool finish is get a bit of distinct wear which I love."

Neck Knives:

Necker #607 has more of our traditional neck knife feel to it. The handle is a scrap of semi-burl walnut left over from a larger project, finished to 600 grit and tung oiled. The blade is also finished to 600 grit with a little bit of forgework left in for character.

Necker #608 is a variation with a smaller handle and belly, but it still falls into the "Necker Model 1" category. If we renamed every variant... well, we would run out of names pretty quickly. The handle on this one is burl ironwood, also left over from another project, also finished to 600 grit and tung oiled.

Multiple knives indeed!

Here are the FKUs, Christof did something a little different. Starting with this pair (they are actually a pair), there will be 24 pairs of knives with Elder Futhark runes on them (one pair for each rune). This pair has the first rune, "Fehu". These will be done intermittently between other projects with no time frame on when the series will be completed. And I'm going to go ahead and say now, no waitlist for rune pairs! Gotta get them the old fashion way, and by that of course I mean by lurking on Bladeforums. :D :D :D

Oops... it's been a while, forgot the one sales post a day thing. :-/ Please don't hate me, oh mighty moderators.

Will the neckers go up for sale soon?

I may put up the neckers next week (if they are turned down by the wait list).

Oh my, 24 hours later and the three I posted for sale have all been sold. That was fast. Also very hectic in my inbox! Lol. :D

We have been lurking for Koyotes for awhile, keep us informed about the neckers once you check the list.

The Little Big Knife! I just got in two from Christof, thought I'd throw up some pics. These two are not going to make it out of the waiting lists (in fact one of them is already sold ). Surprisingly the LBK waiting list is LONGER than the Sgain Dubh waiting list.

These are 1/4" 5160 steel; stainless tubing pins, and black linen micarta. One has some light file work, the other is double... er... 1.5 edged.
