Hey Gang - I'm pretty new to the world of Buck Knives. I have owned several in my early days, but have not added any new ones until today. I received, as a gift, the Boone and Crockett Fair Chase Model 110 Folding Hunter. It is gorgeous. It came in a very nice display tin.

I really can't find any information about the knife on the web, other than an indication that it may have been a limited edition. Can anyone point me in a direction toward some more info. on this knife?

Thanks!

Would yours be this one? The handle material is Redwood Burl and it is the most expensive of the three 110's offered. They all have serial numbers and are limited to 500.

There are two more of them in a Limited Edition Boone and Crockett collection for 2010.

Here's the other two. They are all three very sweet knives. I love the barehead design.

The series was mentioned in the 2009 catalog, but there were no pictures or descriptions. Here's a shot of the 2010 suggested retail price list from 2010, but in real life they can be had for much less than what's shown here. Buck also offered the complete set of three in a glass topped display case which is really cool, but they don't come with sheaths when bought that way.

OK, I just now noticed where you said it came in a display "tin". That would probably make it this one. I understand that they were available from the Dick's Sporting Good chain last year as a holiday offering and have returned this year. From what I read here on the forum, they sell for about $35.

That's the one! Thanks! Looks like a great knife, and not so expensive that I can't make it a user.

Terrific looking knife Brew. What a wonderful gift. Congratulations.

There are several Dick's Sporting Goods in my area. I'll have to check one out. The wood looks black like charcoal dymondwood. I wonder if it is?

Dicks has them now for $39.99 but from what I hear they go down to $29.99 on Black Friday ( day after Thanksgiving)....

well if the wife hits the stores for Black Friday might have to "suggest" she take a look just in case. nice looking package to go under the tree
