The blade is coated with a product called Duracoat, which was designed for firearms, and is supposedly very durable. We'll see. :)

Thanks for looking!

that's one badass mofo!

I generally do NOT like black coated or any coated blades, but that is an exception!! WOW!! There is something about that that I just LOVE that knife!!!!

That looks awesome Phillip. I really like the black blade on that..real strong looking knife.

PPatton, very knice knife. I am curious as I do knot know your background, but did you apprentice under WBrend?

That is killer killer

In my experiences with duracoat and othe like firearm finishes is that they will come off chip and the like but that looks great and it is a great rust protecter

VERY FREAK'N COOL Phillip!!!

I thought you didn't like L6? Things change after you built your salt bath?

Please let us know how the coating holds up. While I prefer a nice satiny blade... a nice satiny hard use blade shortly becomes a nice orange blade around WA state! lol

Thanks for sharing bud!

that flat black really sets off the steel fittings.curious does it require oven curing, multiple coats, etc. txs.dennis.
