I received this 4 1/4" CV Case 6375 Large Stockman with amber jigged bone covers yesterday. As stated, the knife is 4 1/4" closed with the main clip blade being 3 5/16" long, the sheepfoot blade being 2 1/4" long, and the spey blade being 2 3/16" long. All blades have a standard nail nick with all blades having a pull of 5 1/2 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the stiffest. All three bldes were very sharp with a good edge out of the box. I really like the Amber Jigged Bone covers on this knife. This particular knife was manufactured in 2012 (November 5 according to the box label). The knife has two springs with the clip blade riding it's own spring while the sheepfoot and spey blades share the second spring. The blades of this knife are also krinked. The fit and finish of this knife is very good with no apparent gaps between liners, springs, or covers and the knife also came sans blade rub, blade wobble, or blade movement. The bolsters are pinched which sets the knife off nicely.

This is the first Case knife I've had with their Amber Jigged Bone. It is very attractive with crisp jigging and nice coloring. I can now see why so many in this forum like this particular bone choice. I think that this picture of the pile side cover of this knife shows off the bone and jigging nicely.

I've said it before, the amber bone is just GORGEOUS isnt it?
and i've admired the sheer size of the sheepsfoot on this model before

i'm not all that into stockman patterns, but for something like this i think i could make an exception
JUST BEAUTIFUL, great knife

and merry christmas to you and yoru family too Ed!

That's a real Beaut Ed! The amber bone looks so much better in person than the photos seem to show it...

Thanks, I pulled it out of the package and the first thing I said was "Oh,wow!" Yours looks very nice as well, I think this pattern is a winner.

Thats a nice one Ed. I like the 75's. They are bigger than what most folks carry, but they feel very substantial in hand.

Here is a picture of mine. Monster of a knife and a workhorse. Great covers.

That's a great picture Invoice. Yes, I guess you could say it's a monster. It is a handful and as you indicated, it will be a workhorse.

This might be one I'll carry on the belt instead of in the pocket.

Ed, its interesting seeing the colour variation between your and invoices' knife!.. I wonder if your will "amber" more toward invoices one it gets out a bit?
I like the bigger knives myself as well, a 4 inch close knife is a good knife in my hand.

I've been wondering that myself. I think that once I start using the knife the covers will darken once exposed to oils from my hands and other things the covers come in contact with.

My all time favorite knife is a 6375 with CV steel. I find them the perfect size to get anything done.

Ed, thanks for the compliments. She has gotten a little yellower from time and an occasional bath in mineral oil. That CV sharpens up real nice also.

Nice knives guys. I recently got a CV bladed yellow handled 3375 in trade and it is really very nice. It is a new one and is very well put together. Doesn't seem like much these big boys could not handle.

This is a typical thread that I love to hate

Basically
I want one too

The knife is a classic
The bone is lovely
And the Case CV is well - Case CV

Enjoy

I'd hate to have to choose between the traditional amber bone and the new sawcut. Both are beautiful.
