Here they are http://greenbergwoods.com/stabilized-bias-cut-black-palm/

A favorite among many knife makers, black palm has an appearance unlike any other wood, which makes sense since it is technically grass! I use only the highest grade of black palm, that is palm with a high density of black fibers. This means that even before stabilization, the wood is nearly as dense as water and incredibly durable.

Bias cut palm is cut at about a 50 degree angle to the direction the fibers run "there are no growth rings in black palm" to yield a beautiful and durable surface.

The surface of bias cut palm is often compared to scales, which makes it a favorite among culinary and boning knives. It is of special interest to many also due to its incredibly grippy and tactile surface. If the wood is sanded to roughly 400 grit and then buffed with coarse compound, the harder dark fiber bundles stand slightly proud of the surface, giving a comfortable and yet very firm grip even in water, blood or fish entrails.

Much like a cast iron skillet or a pair of leather boots, a black palm knife handle improves with age. As you use it, the slightly softer matrix will wear away in a specific pattern to fit your grip. As this happens, the palm becomes slightly textured and very tactile and easy to hold, even in wet or slippery conditions.

Whatever your fears about using end grain wood, black palm should not be among them. As it is not a true wood and lacks growth rings, the directional strength aspect is far different, and palm is highly resistant to splitting.

The main benefit of stabilizing black palm is that it reduces the tear out that is experiences working natural black palm, as well as easing in the finishing process.
