I had Nick make me a blade a year or so back and for a while he was posting regularly in the Makers forum but I haven't seen him or his work in many months and I was wondering if anyone knew what was up?

I know lots of things cause us to change internet habits, but I'd like to know if Nick is still making those great O1 blades or if he's retired.

Anyone know how to get in touch? Nick you still out here? Hit me up w/an email or PM.

Thanks.

He's around- he had quite the handful doing the Wilderness and Survival Forum knife. And it is a great O1 knife!!!!

he just made a post the other day regarding tool steel for sale.

he posted that. nick@metricsunlimited.com

My place of buisness Metrics Unlimited in Warren MI is now stocking O-1,A-2 and D-2 Tool Steel. If you are interested in a price quote please e-mail me nick@metricsunlimited.com or please feel free to call us at 1-800-638-7986 ask for Nick or Bob

I'm still here Eric, I have been extremly busy with the "Forum Knife" project. I am finishing up with the last batch of guys who made deposits. I then have a good list of folks who want that same design. I still receive a few requests a month for that style. I really wish I could make them faster, but 10 per month is as fast as I can go. I hope to have some free time to post knives for sale here in the summer.
At my "real job" we are now selling a very good, domestic line, of tool steel. I am able to offer it at pretty darn good prices too. We just started carrying Black Linnen Micarta, with Canvas soon to follow.

So if you want to chat or if you have a knife in mind please feel free to e-mail me a nick@metricsunlimited.com or give me a call during the week

Thanks for helping me out here guys, and thanks for the plug Kris. How did your handle turn out on the one you ordered without my handles?

Nick:)

Haven't put a handle on yet. My broken legs have just recently allowed me to get to the basement, and can only stand for short times. Also have not decided what to use- Moose, red or blue G-10, red micarta, bocote, padauk, lacewood........
Any Ideas??? I should be able to get to it in the next month or so- really looking forward to it!

I like all of those materials you listed there. Except for the G-10, I just don't like working with Fiber Glass products. It makes a great handle though.

I would love to see a pic. of that knife when you get it complete. You'll be on you feet before ya know it. And I bet you won't be jumping out of planes any time soon, eh.

Take care
Nick:)

Glad you're doing good, Nick. You remember that I said I was glad to get those blades from you before you got "famous"! You really do great work, and I'm glad you're busy. Bill
