Last month I bought one for my Leatherman Wave. I also bought the extender and the bit set. It is a good sheaf. I would not however use it as an everyday carry. It is bulky. I kept getting it caught on things, but if I had to do a quick fix and did not want to carry a tool box/bag this is a good solution. It is big enough to hold a Buck 110 or a Benchmade H2O both of which are larger knives. It also holds my marlinspike/shackle key on the side, however I do not think I would carry it that way. If I am up hanging off a halyard in a bosun's chair up a int the rigging, I would have a bosun's bucket hanging.

For everyday carry I like the leather sheaf that came with the Wave. I do like the fact that the holster can be rotated on your belt and it feels secure.

I have no affiliation with Nite Ize.

this is a good sheath incredibly sturdy and sits on the belt well, however i do agree it is unsuitable for EDC it is very bulky.

Indeed, the Stretch is too bulky. The rotating clip makes the multitool stick out from my belt which makes it feel heavier than it should.

I eventually cut off the front section and the cover. That reduced the bulkiness and permitted easier access to a multitool or knife.

The clip rotated by itself sometimes so I super glued it in place to prevent it from moving.

These modifications made it somewhat more useful, though it may be polishing a turd. :barf:

I love the Stretch, and all of Nite Ize's holster line. I discovered them many years ago at my then mobile carrier's accessories rack, and have had one for my phone(s) ever since. None of them have ever come off on their own, unlike most clip-on holsters. I lost a phone temporarily shortly before I found the Nite Ize line due to the OEM poor excuse for a clip working loose.

I have four Stretches (two different models), and, have used two of the Nite Ize patented clips removed from close-out items to convert a couple of Buck belt-loop holsters to clip on. I don't always wear a belt, so the Nite Ize clips work great for that.

I do concur that it is/can be bulky compared to belt-loop holster options. If one wears a belt consistently, there are less noticeable options.

One must realise that elastic bands would deteriorate and loose all it's elasticity and hence all the give and stretch required to hold things in place.
the only question remains is just how long are these elastic bands expected to last?
if this is not a concern, then this principle stretch quality is perfectly suited for it's role in its given span of usage.
