NON-Titanium Deep Carry Clip For Kershaw Leek?

Pretty often I EDC a leek. It does the work I need it to do really effectively and affordably; it's a light-duty work knife. I don't need titanium for just a pocket clip. I like how the knife looks and works, but I don't carry it out of status or anything like that. Buying a clip that is the cost of the knife itself (I got my leek cheap) is asinine. The material the stock clip uses is fine, its the shape that bothers me. Moral of the story, is there a basic stainless "spring steel" deep carry clip that can be found under $10 with decent enough machining?

If you want to make it a deep carry clip you could try this. If you just want to alter the shape, why not dremel it into your preferred shape yourself?

Will the clip break if I don't use a torch? I don't have access to one, living in dorms and such. Not only that I'm trying to keep this under $10 If it can be done with just some pliers and patience then I found the solution. At any rate, thank you!

Yeah your going to have to use some sort of heat forsure if you want to bend it yourself. I too never really understood some of the outrageously expensive prices on aftermarket clips.

Most likely it has nothing to do with the material, it's the time required to custom make them. Since aftermarket clip makers can't mass produce them like Kershaw can, the real cost comes from each clip needing to be made to order (to fit a given knife, right color, style, etc). The use of Titanium is really just because it's a good material to use. But you would likely save no more than a buck or two for steel, and since everyone who makes them works with Ti, they are probably going to want more to do it in steel as they aren't used to working eith it, and would need to purchase excess material to make that order.

I had searched myself for a stainless deep carry clip for my Leek. Didn't find one. I just ponied up the little bit of extra and got a Pop's Custom Clip, black finish, titanium, ~$25. Very happy with it.
