Notice!! A Black Jack!!

Nice to see those two rare birds!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (I propose a scannerthon on the forum to get better pictures. :D)
There are benefits and drawbacks to using a scanner, JP, but I like the idea!!

A bit heavy but really the perfect size .
Definitely a GREAT knife !

They do weigh a bit more than the average French knives!! A place for both!! I should do a comparison!!

The shield certainly is big, bold, and decisively garish but man, is it classy! It's a hefty knife too (also falling into the whole "big, bold, beautiful" category).

Well, I don't know if garish is the word I'd use!! ClassyI may need to track one down myself.

I compared the weights of a Black Jack and Forge de Laguiole!
Both have wood handles, and two bolsters. The Black is broader, but the F-d-L is longer, 3 7/8" vs. 4 3/8" respectively!
The Black Jack weighs 4.00 grams.
The Forge de Laguiole, 2.66 grams!!
Quite a difference in weight and attitude!!
You could choose one for the day depending on how you feel that morning!!:D
