41 minutes!!!! Hell, that's feature length movie. No way I will sit through 41 minutes of a knife video. Wow.

I'm really digging those 40+minute vids of Mr.TNP cause he shows where he is coming from with his feedback. Quite a lot of reviewers out there just say that a knife fails a test but give you very rare details about the background, POU and other stuff...

Seems like Nutn loves your knifes just like we do, Jeff

Not trying to be sarcastic here, but you mean you really can sit through 40 plus minutes of showing a knife do things????

Yep, its like watching TV

The best part of his vids is that he has his datapoints, which he tends to skip, forget or shorten a bit, but in the end you got quite a good feeling for the blade/sheath. Especially when you're watching his philosophy and outdoor vids as well and you kinda agree to his style its quite a nice entertainment :D

Well, it's for sure everyone is different. ;)

Might be different for guys that are NOT working with knifes everyday :D

Seriuously, I dont wanna see a 40+min video about my job neither :p

Agreed. We are planning on doing a DVD covering our training (not an instructional DVD) and I don't want any more than 15 minutes on the thing. Much past that and it will bore the hell out of everyone.

I just listened to the review while surfing other sites, I can't remember a bad thing he's said about it.

Sounds interesting man, any ETA on that? Would be nice to see you guys in action and swinging around some Junglas ;)

Probably like the rest of our projects and way down the road....

What I really need os someone to take the raw footage from us, edit it and put it in a viewable format. I can get the raw footage when we go down to Peru in May and also from the April survival class

Yeah man.....even 41 minutes of porno is more than I can sit still for!!!

No kidding! You can take one out, use it, take photos, come back in, load the photos, and write a review in less time than that! After you have chopped thru one log, slashed some brush, and split some wood with it, you pretty much have the feel of the knife.
But I have to give it to him, he does a very thorough review. I loved his rant about other companies selling dull knives. The Junglas came very sharp. Now if I can only convince some other "High end" chopper manufacturers to do the same rather than make lame excuses about "combat use edges".

I only watched 2 or 3 minutes of the video and It made the Junglas really look like must have knife. Esee should be grateful TNP has given it knife such a good review. I'm no TNP fanboy or anything. In this world of internet sales, where you may have to buy a knife without ever seeing it in person, an in depth video review is one the best ways to find out the info you need to make a decision. This video is a little long winded, but I think TNP is doing us service.

Don't get me wrong, we appreciate it every time our knives get air time, whether the reviewer likes them or not. The point I'm making is the same as Horn Dog's. 41 minutes is a LOT of video for most of us to sit down and watch. Along the lines of rayban's post, there better be some naked women in that video if it's gonna hold my interest. And even 41 minutes of that and I'd be yawning.

Also, as far as we are concerned the Junglas is in no way a "must have" knife. So, if that's what the video is saying then I don't agree. What I would like to see is a video review of the 150 buck Junglas, some of the 400 dollar choppers, etc up against a 10 dollar Imacasa machete. Now that would hold my interest for at least 10 minutes. 20 if a topless chik does the chopping and slashing.

Ok, I watched the first 30 seconds. My old cheap ass machete would have had that tree down in half the time. Seriously. Buy a Junglas if you wanna be the coolest looking guy on your street. But a machete if you really want to get some work done :D

When there is serious clearing and chopping to be done, I don't grab a Battle Mistress or a Junglas. I use my $6.00 22" Tramontina! But that isn't really cool, and nobody would care to see a fat old man lay waste to brush with a cheap machete!

My point exactly.
