Nylon scales discontinued?

This may be a dumb question, and I may be extremely late to the party on this, but did Victorinox stop selling 84mm and 91mm models with hard rough textured nylon scales? Even the stay glo climber seems to have been unavailable for quite a long time. Outside of the 111mm models, it seems like nylon scales aren't a thing anymore. Are there any 84mm or 91mm nylon SAKs still being made?

edit: there's also the 100mm knives (gardener/floral, pruner, grafter). Also there were some nyylon scaled 58mm SAKs but those appear to be discontinued as well, including the stay glo classic sd.

I thought I had heard the nylon scales were discontinued, but I haven't been able to find anything concrete. It's a shame, because I definitely prefer them over the regular scales.

Yup. There doesn't seem to be any information about their availability. That's why I'm asking.

For sure. Lots of people do. I wish you could get them in different colors and plus scale versions with the pin and ink pen slots.

The nylon scales are just better, but I think regular people didn't find them as visually appealing as a set of shiny new smooth celidor scales. They must not have sold well enough, or maybe Victorinox decided that they were too durable, such that used knives didn't look different enough from the new ones. When it comes to the used market, Victorinox is forced to compete with itself for sales. People need reasons to buy the new ones over the cheaper used ones. Having celidor scales that get worn more easily creates an obvious visual difference between the new SAKs and the used ones.

I think they stopped making them for the 84s and 91s since there are no economy line there any more. No idea why they used nylon on the cheaper knives before, and why it´s still used in other lines with no special definition...

I only have one spare set of 91mm nylon scales left. Bought a bunch of sets a few years ago and swap ‘em in when I get a new SAK. Will have to choose carefully what knife will get the last set :)
