Oakley Gascan Fit?

I'm thinking about ordering a pair of Gascans, but I'm not sure if they'll fit. I wear a size XL hat, if that helps at all. If you need different measurements to help me out I'll be glad to provide all I can.

I too have a huge squash...7 and 5/8ths typically and all my flexfit hats are XL as well. I owned a pair of Gascans and as much as I tried to convince myself, they just didn't fit right and I ended up selling them. The style of the frame is definitely not designed for a person with a larger head and the glasses wore a bit tight for me because of this.

I also found that the lenses would easily and constantly become gunked up with sweat and oil because a large part of the lens would sit flush on my eyebrows.

+1 to this. Go with a pair of Fuel Cells. Similar style and look but a larger frame that fits my 7 1/2 melon perfectly. I also own a pair of batwolves and they fit fantastic too. In my experience the majority of Oakley frames are made for a much smaller dome but these two glasses work very well on the cranially blessed like you and me.
 
I am a 7 3/4 and the gascans fit fine. I didn't really like them though because they didnt have a rubber nose piece so they would slide down if you sweat. I much prefer the Jawbones.
 
Ordering high dollar sun glasses only works well when you know they fit. You won't want to wear them if they are not comfortable on your head.


I would suggest finding an Oakley store or someone who carries Oakley's and try them on.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to either go to the local mall (ugh) or find a sunglasses hut somewhere to try them on... Or I can just order them from online and send em back if they don't fit, the site I'd be ordering from has a great return policy.

I actually just went and ordered my first pair online as well from usstandardissue. Then after I started to really like the glasses I went to an Oakley store in the mall and tried a few on... and there were a few models I didn't like at all.

I got lucky. :thumbup:
 
I picked Gascans precisely because I have a big head, and they look good and fit well.
