Blue / Black G10 scales don't show up that well in the scan.

Just wanted to show the lock. I'd put this up against my small Sebenza any day. Actually, I much prefer this to the sebbie.

Very well made liner locks, I agree.

Michael, this is Mike Obenauf, Kit Carson's son in law/apprentice, right? I've seen his work at Arizona Custom Knives and been very impressed. Is the quality and workmanship as good as it looks?
Is it possible to order directly from Mike? Thank's for the picture!
John.

Nice one stjames and Michael. I have a small #1 in black linen micarta from Mike. Well built, nice fit and finish and a great bargain.

John. I got mine from Don Eargle at Phoenix Blades .
Yes, Mike is Kit's son in law. You can probably order one by emailing Kit.

Yup.., nice knives and priced right too!!

I've been eyeing Mike's work for the last couple of months and had to resist the urge to splash out on one of his folders (the wife would kill me right now!). Looks like very careful work with the lock and scale fitting.

Kit Carson would approve - there isn't much higher praise than that...

I really like Mine's work. He may be relatively new but I put him among my favorites.

I've got one of Mike's large Model 1's and in all honesty, his fit and finish is right up there with his "old man-in-law" :) It's got great ergonimics, great blade steel, and great size. Based on what Kit has told me all along, several months ago I confidently purchased the M1 sight unseen, something I never do with a new maker. I have no regrets to speak of with this purchase. IMHO it is my best buy custom for this year.
