Odd Question: Cheapest D2 Folders you know of?

I know that may be a "bad" question on a site full of knife-nuts.

I'd like to try a D2 edge. It won't see nearly as much use if it's fixed blade...and I would like to assume that any maker messing around with stuff as hard to work as D2 is gonna take the time to get the heat treat right...but in case that's not the case I guess the one stipulation is "the cheapest D2 folder that is a good example of the steel."

Whatcha y'all got. The lowest I've found so far is around $80 (Grip and Dozier)

The composite blade kershaw leek has a cutting edge of CPM-D2 and can be had for around $50-60.

As dar as absolute cheapest you could pick up a Queen Cutlery Country Cousin for around $25 (sodbuster pattern slipjoint).

The Queen Sodbuster is the cheapest I can think of at around $30 with the other Queens starting at around $50.

Another note, like Antihero17 said, the CB leek would prob be the best cheapest D2 folder if you want a locking blade.

Kershaw Junkyard Dog 2 1725cb. Sandvik 13c26 and cpm d2 composite blade. $72.00 + 5.50 shipping on the bay.

CPM-D2 is very different than regular D2. I got the JYD2 to try it out. At first it was amazingly sharp, but the edge seems really "picky" if I can say that, as to use and resharpening. It may have had a wire edge from the factory that rolled... giving me some work to to. My regular D2 knives are tough as hell but easy to put a really sharp edge on. I have to live with the CPM-D2 for some time before I know if I really like it or not. I know I really like a D2 knife, I absolutely trust it as a blade steel.

I dont own any regular d2 knives, just the composite leek with CPM-D2, so I cant really compare the two. But my experience with CPM-D2 has been positive. I find that I like the CPM-D2 better than s30v and find that the ease of sharpening is the same as s30v for me.

I know its been said...
Queen Country Cousin (sodbuster) in black or yellow for $23.
Great solid work knife...

I bet you could get a D2 folder from Wayne Goddard but a fixed blade just means it dooes not fold it is just as good as a folder just bigger
