I recently got the OFG Rhino V2 154cm, I am absolutely enamored with this thing! The fit and finish are perfect and the action is sweet! It's my first 154cm blade, but it takes a razor edge and seems to hold it pretty well.

The company is also awesome, I emailed them before I bought the knife and they got back to my in less than 15 minutes and were very knowledgeable and helpful and even gave me a $10 off code!

What are your experiences with this brand? I think they got themselves a lifelong customer in me haha

I was impressed with the one Off-Grid knife I owned (the Rhino, I think?). Solid fit and finish and punched above its price point.

Yeah for sure! Way better fit and finish than my bugout haha

My experience with them is making me want to save up for their Scorpion Elite in m390 for $230😬

Standard deep carry clip, that's a plus in my book. Design is kind of generic though. I was looking at their site, some cool designs, wonder who is manufacturing them. I'm guessing WE or Bestech. I like the looks of the Enforcer if it came in better steel. $100 for G10 and D2 is a bit much for a knife that may not be USA made.

I Bestech does their lower end and WE does(or did do) their premium line. They have an Enforcer XL with 154cm, but from what I hear they do their D2 very well. Like it isn't generic Chinese D2. I don't have any experience with it, but I am trying to trade my PM3 LW for an Off Grid Knives knife. But it's not a super common brand yet so maybe I would be better off just selling it instead of trying to trade it haha

WE does a good job with heat-treatment of their D2. It's hard enough to take a nicely toothy edge, as D2 is known for, and holds it rather well, at least for my uses. I prefer 14C28N, especially for folders. Easy to get razor sharp, holds a good edge, and it's one of the toughest stainless alloys. But, I don't buy folders with toughness in mind. My EDC is a fixed blade, and whatever folder I carry is simply a back-up, or just one I might want to use that day, for whatever reason.....

I will also admit my back-up blade to my .45 is a Civivi Tamashii, 4" of Bob Terzuola designed, WE heat-treated, D2, with the micarta handle. It also does boxes and packing tape well enough that I don't hesitate to use it at work.

I have thought about edcing a fixie and keeping my pocket knife laser sharp for fine work. But I also am looking at the Off Grid Alpha Dog and it's huge so idk if it's really EDCable haha

Just discovered this company last week and ordered these two almost immediately when I discovered that they were made in Taiwan (as are all Off Grid fixed blades and several folder models).
$87 each after my Law Enforcement discount!
Also they responded to my enquiry email within 30 minutes and gave me my discount code. 👌
I haven’t found any flaws with either. Grinds, centering, lockup, detent, f/f are all essentially identical and very high quality.
One of these is going to a partner. I’m going to let him pick between these OR if he wants, I’ll swap the blades for “custom” color combos. 😎

The grind on my Stinger XL was a bit uneven, but still a great blade for the money.

I don't mind D2 at all if it is done right. Many years ago I got my first knife with D2, a Kershaw Junkyard Dog. That steel was really hard, really rest resistant in my sweaty pocket and held an edge great. Easy to sharpen, too. Overall with other knives and D2 my experience has been better with that than S35 which seems to be all over the place, regardless of manufacturer.

I got the Off Grid Enforcer for my nephew as in an EDC work knife. He works at a feed/seed/tack store. He absolutely loves it. That chopped off point still has plenty a point for penetration but enough meat behind it he doesn't worry about bending it. His description of Off Grid D2 reminds me a lot of Cold Steel's cryo treatment of their 8cr etc. steel. I have plenty of work knives in the 8cr etc. family collected over the years and none of them are close to the performance I get out of my 15 yr old American lawman.

And believe me, if his 22-year-old self can't break this knife easily it's got to be pretty sturdy. He's had it for over a year now and absolutely loves it. At $59, it seems like a steal.

Greetings all,
Have an older Rapid-Fire. Oustanding quality for the price. And for customer service, cannot get any better. Had a question and was answered in a heartbeat. I did de-assist mine and like it much better. Just a good solid no frills knife from a company that seems to care about their customers. Refreshing these days. Best regards to all.
Mike

Huh - that’s the first example I’ve heard of. :(

How is it off? I know that the centerline on this model is intentionally ground “high” (slightly closer to the spine/higher than the tip) as on my pics…

It's nothing major, just the edge grind. The edge angle of the show side is noticeably lower than on the lock side.

I had the Mamba in Ti and I was super impressed. The only reason I sold it was I’m not a fan of m390, but the knife was top notch.
