I just bought a vic recruit from my local hardware store, and I'm wondering what this means ( in Swiss and what it means to Victorinox )
If anyone knows I'd love to learn what this means.

Swiss languages are primarily French, German and Italian.
Ordinarily it would be....
FRENCH to ENGLISH
Officier suisse >>> Swiss officer

but "suissi" (as in a French last name) ??!
Yean, i'ld like to know too...

Eh heh he.

You probably read it wrong and it actually reads Suisse which is what the guys said.

Yeah, it's pretty random when it's used. Sometimes for European models, sometimes for certain periods, sometimes for certain models and variants. Perhaps someone else knows.

Mine says Officer Suisse as well. All Vics have that I think. Seems when Vic got the first contract to make the Swiss Army's knife, they also came out with a line to sell to the Officers. So the foot soldiers were issued the SAK, and Vic offered to sell officers something that was more than the issued knife.
