More to the why. I already have the Buck folder (nice toy!), is the custom version similar in design?

The custom version is going to be offered in either a tanto or drop point version. There are some pics in the forum, do a search under folder. It looks to be a little larger than the Buck version, and is going to be made with a little thicker liners. Decided to do the search myself.
