Old Acme anvil identification

I just picked up a 100 Acme anvil off Craigslist. It was definitely well loved, but the face is flat even though there are some dings on the edges. It rings like a stuck fairy!

It has a serial number on the front right foot (SN: 130427)

Under the ACME logo, it has 100 stamped in large numbers but the number one is upside down.

I'm pretty sure it is a Hay Budden manufactured in 1907 based off my research online on other forums about anvil dating. However, the upside down one is throwing me for a loop.

Does it sound like I've identified it correctly?

Regardless, I'm a happy camper!!!

wow there really was an Acme anvil company..... i just thought they were from the road runner cartoon!

good score!

According to the book Anvils in America The Columbus Forge and Iron Company otherwise know as Trenton also built anvils marked ACME for Sears and Roebuck in 1907.
I'll have to do more research on the serial # to figure out if it's a trenton or Hay Budden. Regardless it sounds like a great anvil.

My guess is it was either Friday afternoon or Monday morning when it was stamped... Guy was in a hurry to go out partying Friday or a little hung over Monday morning.

This is why you don't buy a vehicle that was built on a Friday.
