Synopsis: I am offering my CPK-LC D3V up for sale. I have 2 other LCs so letting this one go. This one is Like-New as in never-been-used. However, I have changed scales on this one several times (note some color fading on the fasteners surface finish). It started out its life but of Nathan's shop with Terotuf scales (not offered) and then I put antique edgecut micarta scales (again not offered). To offer this one up for sale, I secured a set of scales in basic unbuffed gray/black canvas micarta (LC scales are no longer available from CPK so if you don't like these and hope to get something else, you will have very little chance of scoring an alternative option!).
Condition: Apart from being unsheathed, admired, fondled, cleaned and then sheathed, this has not seen ANY ACTION other than cutting some paper, just because! There may be some faint markings on the blade because of the draw and insertion caused by the kydex sheath. There is a spot on the maker's-mark side that keep rubbing on the kydex, which may be discernible in the some of the photos.
The deal: price is $530.00 SOLD FIRM / NO OFFERS / NO TRADES even if for another CPK! The price is all inclusive of PayPal (G&S only) plus domestic 50 states USPS Priority Mail with proof of signature required (please do not buy if can not sign for the package!). Shipping to Canada (no other Intl.) may be considered at an additional cost to the buyer, based on my own discretion.
Plenty of photos will follow in the next reserved post! This LC is currently also listed on another site so its sale depends on first come, first serve!
Finally: the Carothers Light Chopper pattern is a LIGHT CHOPPER! I don't want a buyer who is not aware that this is really a "chopper" for light duty chopping tasks an d really a hybrid between a chopper, large knife and a short machete. If you want something with more bite, look for something else please. This is a now a long retired pattern so I assume that if you are interested, you are familiar with its specs!
Terms of Sale:
1- Must be at least 18 years or older and must know your own State's, City's and Local laws with regards to purchase, transportation and handling of knives.
2- "I will take it" on here takes priority as far as time stamp goes, then followed by "start a conversation" aka the PM routine. I will ask for your PayPal email address to invoice you, as I prefer this as opposed to you just sending me PP funds.
3- Generally speaking a claim post in here and then followed by a PM gets it BUT it will be my sole decision as to who I do business with. I may refrain from selling to anyone for any reason of my choosing. I prefer to do transactions with well-established paid members. I don't hold onto my offerings for hours on end and if the transaction is not completed and funded within a timely manner of an hour or so, I will then move on.
4- The deal is truly a done deal when both parties are completely satisfied based on my detailed and honest description. You may contact me within 24 hours of the confirmed receipt of your package if unsatisfied. (I was on vacation or any other delayed stories will not cut it. STRICTLY 24 hours from confirmed receipt!) I will NOT accept any returns if the knife has been used, abused, dismantled or simply due to buyer's remorse. in case of any return request, the buyer will be responsible fully for return shipping fees plus signature and must return immediately in the same way the knife was received!
5- I will ship with signature requirement. I will not be held responsible in the case that you may need to visit your local USPS to collect the package because no one was at the address to accept delivery!
6- Pictures are definitely a major part of the description and condition.
