Somebody must know more about this Old Custom shop 110. it was in poor condition when I got it. I gave it a quick polish but could stand a SPA treatment. The bolsters look like someone took sandpaper to them and the other side scale is loose and needs to be re-glued. The blade itself is pristine, has the old Buck script.

Can anyone ID this for me? I don't want to send it to Buck for a SPA treatment if the scales aren't actually from Buck itself. I'm pretty sure i've seen this one before somewhere but can't find any info anywhere. I assume it's scrimshaw on bone (?).

That one niggled at me also. I did a bit of searching and came up with nothing. Nice catch.

It's a Real Buck 110 with a polished blade. I don't think the Horse scrim work was done at Buck, not even sure if the Bone handles are factory. There was about 2 different variations of the bone with different scrim work that all showed up for sale on the large auction site at the same time. Did any of you buy any of the other ones? Look at the closed auctions the scrim was done by a machine not by hand IMHO.
