"Old Knives"

I found this old Hammer Brand knife I acquired in trade and promptly forgot about. Cracked Ice covers, and hollow crimped on bolsters... I assume it's an Imperial. The blades are interesting, the main being saber ground with a long pull, and the other two being a spey and a pen. Somebody obviously used it for prying as well as cutting, leaving some crimped areas in the edge of the pen blade.
I've been flushing it out, as it was extremely sluggish in operation, and it's becoming more snappy as I go. I'll work on the edges after the flushing is done. The blades don't appear to have been sharpened much at all..
Pretty cool old knife, even for a "budget" type...

I like these old Imperial/Hammer knives. The shell constructed ones can be (mostly) had pretty cheap and they make great edc knives. They may have hollow bolsters, but they come in some crazy colors and the steel is good.

Here are three Salesman‘s Sample Schrade Cuts covered in stag. I recently was able to acquire these and two other
curved tang stamp Schrades (photos coming) out of an old collection. From top a regular Jack 3 & 1/2 inches, middle an equal end Jack 3 & 5/8 inches and finally a congress pattern 3 & 1/2 inches. The two Jacks have crocus mirror polished primary mark
side blades all other blades glaze polished while the Congress has all blade surfaces crocus mirror polished. Never sharpened

Waiting to see your curved stamps!!🤔

This is an old Remington Jack that is in such pristine condition, I don't use it...not that it is worth that much, but the old bone is so nice. Perhaps someone here can estiate its age? You may note in the last picture, on the handle beneath the shield, it seems as though this knife was meant to have a round shield. I don't think the knife was altered by anyone however. Presume it came from the factory this way.
