Wow! I love looking at those things.

As a young boy, a local guy let me in his grandfather's barn to explore. I found a pile of old rods and fishing tackle....there were wooden rods (perhaps bamboo?) some were metal rods, and all sorts of worn/old lures...I traded him a pocket knife for some of it and proceeded to go fishing and lose or break all of it:(

I did some stupid stuff as a kid...I did not know any better. I guess a lot of people did though....and that is why stuff like what is in your photo is so precious!
