Review: Olight S30R iii
This light was sent to me for review.
Olight S30R iii, another great choice form Olight. Keeping in line with other recent offerings from Olight the S30R iii is a versatile rechargeable EDC option. This model comes with a charging base that has suction cup feet to keep it planted to your counter or desk and that base has USB out on it as well. It will also work with Olight's magnetic cap charger. It comes in minimal packaging which holds the light, pocket clip, charging base, charge cable, a lanyard and instructions. The pocket clip we have become accustomed to is attached making it ride in your pocket lens up but also giving you the ability to attach it to the brim of your hat.
A single click of the side switch turns it on. Pressing and holding the switch while on cycles through the modes. Double click while on takes you to turbo and a triple click takes you to strobe. The light can be electronically locked by pressing and holding the switch from off through moonlight mode. The same action unlocks it.
With a slimmer profile than the S30R II, a higher high and a lower moonlight the iii is a winner. It will make a great part of your rechargeable Olight collection as they can all be charged with the same cord. As with other packages out there this one is turn key. You get everything you need in one package to get started EDCing a great light that will serve you well.
