And now I have one more reason:

Hmm, let's see? $400 for a super strong convex ground knife that chips on plastic ties, or $40 for a wimpy old hollow ground knife that cuts fiberglass roofing without chipping! Tough choice.

I admit the only heavy thing I've cut with my new knives is carpet. If I have to cut anything too substantial I go and get an old crudy knife I inherited from somewhere. I don't even know what it is. Maybe I'll get over it some day and use my Native.

I'm going to get a Delica one of these days. I took a defensive knife class and we trained with Delicas. The instructors swear by them for several reasons and I have to say they were pretty nice.

I bought a Spyderco Native for the class, non-serrated, and I love it. (I try to express my admiration for this knife with a few of my friends but they just sort of back away. None of them likes knives nor sees a need for them.) Anyway I have a Microtech socom and a couple of Benchmades, all real nice knives but not a small, sturdy, easy to open knife like this Native. It's become my everyday carry and I think a Delica would be a good second knife to have along.

Oops, my mistake! But I still like my Delica!
