Ontario's SP series, past and present...

Nice replacement Re-Pic Image as in getting replacement images for us to see! ChuteTheMall ChuteTheMall

That SP-10 is a great basic large field knife I suggest to people. Besides its regular handle gaurd, that Hilt can save one's hand when one is cold and fatigued when doing stuff in the field with it. From fancy fu-fu feather sticks to serious chopping and lopping, and its pretty affordable.

RD6 and SP53 still in the 2022 catalog. I got an RD6 last week and seen them around the interweb. If you don't have an RD6 or SP-53, I suggest you get them, I use my SP-53s A LOT. The RD6...well I use the RD7s and NS7s and my RD Tantos I got way more than way a lot more. Mostly I gave away RD6s to friends and relatives who knew NEEDED a heavy duty "Get out of the woods and GET HOME" knife. Not because I didn't like them, but with my 7 inch RD Types I rarely needed them. BUT several of my friends and relatives who used them for a "Car Knife" or strap to pack and use for camp task knives. Had to use them for unforseen hard tasks that got them home a lot easier, for me that was confirmation it was a wise decision. Right now only the RD6 is being made in 5160 from the once wide variety RD line. I'm just glad its still 5160 steel, I assume that is, as I myself have done some pretty amazing (Most would say DUMB AND STUPID) things with that metal in various knives. The RAK although 1075 is another great RD knife with its saber grind...the pointy part of the hilt many bob it, I myself found the pointy part useful so never bobbed one...yet that is.

Thank god it still here. Otherwise will be a lost of a splendid piece of history.
strange that old company like Ontario not keeping a continous catalogue history like Cold Steel, which is the path they been gone through and be very proud of.

A few models, such as SP-1 and this SP-2 were available, possibly others, with tan handles for awhile. I didn't get one and haven't seen them for sale lately.
