Opinions on Lapu Lapu Corto and 5.11 Journeyman Karambit

I have been researching the Cherusker Lapu Lapu Corto and the 5.11 series Karambit. I like the Corto because of the blade and grip design, esp. the latter's excessive amount of grip enhancing features. I have also read as much as possible about the "puzzle lock" and how, should it break, it relegates to a compression lock to protect your fingers. Has anyone used this knife, carried it, etc. and general impressions?
While I have many folders, the Karambit has always appealed to me due to its design and retaining abilities. I've spoken with a few colleagues who carry them and have said that, although not a popular tactic, if necessary, it can be allowed to swing from the pinky while taking an improvised grip on a firearm. I have received no formal training with a Karambit, however, but have no intention of using the "pinky-swing buzz-saw tactic." Any opinions on the the 5.11 model vs. other available models, and as far as training, what recommendations would anyone have.
Feel free to respond the either issue or both, and preemptive thanks for any help.

In regards to swinging/spinning any Karambit is not wise since if done incorrectly you will get bitten and secondly there is no tactical advantage to spinning. If you are compelled to spin then do so with a trainer. Concerning the LLC, it’s another tool to coexist with your other self-defense tools.

I got to play around with both the Tarani 5.11 C.U.B. Masters Model and the C.U.B. Journeyman and liked them both, especially the Masters Model with the S30V blade steel. The Journeyman is fast and quick and I liked it alot. The price point on these two models are very reasonable too. Though I prefer my Emerson becaues of the Wave, if I were to choose between the two I'd go for the Journeyman. Though the bladesteel is 154CM, I do like how slim it is overall and carries very light being that the handles are FRN. The grind lines on the Journeyman were a little off compared to the Masters Model, but I don't see it being a problem. I liked the look of the whole Tarani 5.11 series BTW.
