I've had one since Christmas. I've thrown it, beat it, chopped with it, threw it some more, and it is in great shape. For the price, it's an affordable, semi-disposable, intro hawk. I also own full tang and traditional hawks, sopme heavier, none are lighter. I would not use this for camping, unless I did some serious re-profiling of the cutting edge, and then I'd have to see if it could chop well, as stock it doesn't.
It's a utility tool that I would not depend on, if it were my life. Throw it around, leave it in a truck, or practice hawk fighting on a log, just don't take it to war. Some of the early ones were breaking, there were air bubbles in the handles. SOG has fixed this issue, as far as I've heard.
