Hey, I have a Camelbak brand polycarbonate bottle (Nalgene style), 750ml capacity, that dates probably back to 2008-2009. It is a polycarbonate bottle, but not one of the BPA-free versions as that fiasco appeared in the spotlight later on.

So, any clever (non-food/drink related) uses for this bottle? I don't think polycarbonate is straight recyclable, so what else could I hack this thing into? What did everyone else do with there old Nalgene bottles when the BPA plastic thing happened?

I have some friends that store a change of underwear, socks, and t shirt in them (32 ounce size), that is also what I use to keep emergency stuff in my car including a first aid kit. The 750 can be used to store some small tools, fire starting stuff, piggy bank, fill it with screws, nuts, bolts for things you find around the house, use it for cash, batteries, first aid kit, pistol magazines, ammo, etc. The only limit is your imagination.

I kept using mine, once its been washed at a fairly high temp the BPA is mostly gone. (of course that means its in the water, but there's not much you can do about that)
Other wise you can use them for gear containers, geo-caches, wire up some batteries and LEDs and make it a lantern?
