Does anyone know anything about or is anyone more familiar with the wait time. I know I read on the site they take a $50 deposit at the time of the order and payment is due before delivery once the knife is ready... My question is, is there anyway to send additional payments or deposits on your knife as the time goes on or is there no way to do that? I am so excited to start the wait for my piece of history in my very 1st Randall Knife!!! I went with a model 1-7 with a Commando shaped handle and a wrist thong. I also had my name engraves or etched rather into the blade. thank you, any and all info would be much appreciated.

I've been waiting on my order since 2012 and I don't even remember the exact model I ordered. Sure the wait is about 3-4 years for you.

haha a buddy was teasing me that by the time it came time to get my knife I would have moved or forgot about it lol... When I ordered it said delivery was expected for 2020... lol I am ok with it bc I am sure this thing is going to be a super functional piece of art once I get it!!!! Were you able to get it paid off as the time goes by or do we have to wait until its done?

MadMax2015, I am not sure if you can pay in full up front. I'm going to have to get ahold of them and ask what i owe them. The completion date on my blade should be sometime in 2017.

wow that is right around the corner!!! I am so excited for you! did you get your order card in the mail?

I ordered a 2 - 6 in early 2012. They told me it should be ready in September 2016. I saved the extra money up in the form of change and ones. Once I get my letter that the knife is done, I'll post my change pile it should be epic.

Placed my order for a Model 1-7 APFK with double nickel silver hilt & black micarta handle on 02/26/13 The scheduled ship date is 05/08/17. Only a year to go!

As to the original question; you used to be able to make payments along the way. Best to call the shop and find out if this is still doable.

Ordered a 12-9 Bowie with 14 grind in green micarta today. Hoping it will be like a 14 xl with brass butt cap.
1 day down 1642 to go in this 4.5 year wait.

I feel guilty now, I bought my first one(model 12-6 little bear bowie) from a dealer. Always wanted one for 19 years, and realized I can afford them now.

I am going to place order for my five most wanted knives from Randall

Model 1-8 Fighting knife
Model 12 Smithsonian Bowie
Model 12 Edmond Thorpe
14 Grind Sportsman Bowie 9"
Model 18 Attack Survival

I also love model 14 Attack and model 17 Astro,,,, but I will have a lot and lot of savings to catch up with. As far as I am aware, there is limit 1 knife per household during 3 months time, so to order five knives will take over 1 year period of placing orders. So far I wasn't so fortunate to have one but these Randall's along other knives I have I wish to give to my son, as memory for me , when I ll be gone one day. I absolutely love large Bowie blades and from what I have read about this amazing manufacturer got me convinced - Randalls are every knife collector dream.I never read or hear about similar waiting period with any other manufacturer, but 5 years are only adding to fact, how precious are these gems

If you order through a dealer, your wait time is cut down to between 4 and 6 months. Price is the same.

I just got a delayed shipping notice from RMK. It looks like it's going to be next January before I get mine.
