Is the fit and finish noticeably better than production 119s?

Did it take 8 weeks or less to be made?
How long did it take to receive?

Do you have pictures you can share of any of your custom shop bucks? 119s, 110s, etc?

I chose cherrywood. I wanted the most natural lighter color wood and the fact it was the cheapest blew my mind!!

I chose nickel guard and pommel because I prefer not to clean brass regularly. I just don’t like stains and wanted it to be minimal.

S30V without the fuller because I hope that will make it a bit more blade heavy, which I like.

What do you think?

I've had two made this year, a 119 420HC chipflint (no fuller) style blade and a 110 S30V drop point, both with Buckeye Burl. Both knives were ready right at the 8 week estimate, shipping via Priority Mail only took a few days to get here once shipped.

Fit and finish are excellent, I think you'll be pleased.

If they offered a 124 custom, I'd be getting one of those too in Buckeye Burl. In fact, I'm contemplating not holding out for Buck to offer one, and do a re-handle of my 124 with Buckeye Burl myself as a Winter project. Update: I took on the 124 re-handle... forum post with project progression pic are here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/my-124-re-handle-project-done.1820089/

I'm there with you too regarding non-brass hardware.

1) Not sure. I'm comparing with my C&C red micarta 119, which is pretty good. Note that the brass custom is noticeably heavier than the aluminum C&C 119.

2) It took a couple of days less to arrive than two months from day of order.

3) Similar to yours, but Ironwood and brass:

4) I like it :) Note that Nickel silver can be stained by leather too. I use a Kydex sheath.

I wouldn't say better per say. sometimes, but the 119s are small pretty darn good overall in general.

that sounds about right, from my memory of the few I've ordered....give or take a week or 2.

here's a cherry wood s30v no fuller one i have. note the cherrywood isn't solid cherywood..rather a colored birch laminate. thats why its cheaper than other solid wood options say ironwood or buckeye burlwood as examples.

I posted as I have this pic easy to find.

on 119 its brass or aluminum, not nickel silver. 110 has nickel silver choice though.

I like what ya picked...hope thats helpful....

I ordered a couple 119's from the custom shop recently. First one I placed the order on 6/27 with ship notice on 8/18 (7+ weeks). The second one was much faster...ordered on 9/15, with ship notice on 10/7 (3+ weeks).

The brass ones are heavier than the aluminum.
But the weight is essentially in the handle.

A stacked leather handle with an unpolished blade with the finish left as just out of heat treat.

And while we're at it, maybe the Lions will win one.....

Hey we're wishing here right?!!!

yep stacked leather. they've done them before in production. custom shop should have that option in the 119. lions i dont know about.......that might be asking for too much there.😅

Better yet.
Leather has a look all it's own.
..... Favorite pair of boots, the old leather chair....
I'm good with that.

do you find that the fit finish and everything is held to a much higher standard than normal buck knives?

like with the AG series 119, I've seen some have part of the guard grinded too short, gaps on either side of the blade at the guard varying, seems like even the literal shape of the blade varies slightly. Considering the AG is a 200 dollar knife its concerning
