I've been trying to get in touch with them regarding some items I want to order from them on EBay. Going to build a 2x72 grinder :)
What I understand they have (had?) good stuff?

Sorry, I was pretty unclear.
I'm talking about "Oregon Blade Maker" that has an EBay store where they sell (amongst other things) parts for making your own belt grinder. They have gotten pretty good feedback from what I can see but I can't get them to answer my emails so I'm wondering if they are out of business or maybe just on vacation

I am curious about this as well. Hope someone here has some info. Thanks for posting this!

I know that he is often Very responsive to emails. I would like to think that everything is OK on his end personally, but I cannot speak to that. What I can do is attest to his communication prior to and after my purchases.
Life happens. I would give him a little time.

Doesn't instill much confidence in their customer service at all JB!
Another cutlery company that isn't too fond of answering e mails, in my experience, is Microtech.
Lots of fun trying to get in touch with those guys!

true, but then again boker usa is in business and open and refuses to respond to emails.......:)

As far as I know, he's still very much in business. At least one of two makers in the Shop Talk forum have recently ordered from OBM with success. Can't speak to the lack of communication. Found a phone and address on Manta... might give calling a shot:

Feel like I need to set this straight. When I was researching the OBM grinder I came across this thread and it gave me pause. I contacted OBM on Ebay, and got immediate responses to questions about different models and about choices for motor/VFDs. He was helpful and prompt. I ordered the chassis, drive wheel and tool rest. They were all shipped within a day, and arrived very well packed and consequently intact. It is clearly a very well manufactured product (Made in USA!) with excellent fit and finish. I am currently in the process of setting up the motor so I have not used the grinder and cannot provide a full review. But seriously, it is well made, domestically, and comes at a very reasonable price. And yes, they are very much still in business!!!

Sorry for not updating the thread. I took a chance and ordered a kit from OBM a couple of months ago and it was really no problem at all. I didn’t get any response from the first mails but maybe they got lost somehow. I got really good support after and the products is really good quality. Top notch OBM!
