While we've made our fair share of bowie knives before and plenty of recurved blades in general as a khukuri manufacturer, we've never done a recurved bowie before! The skills definitely carried over and though I've always been a bit conflicted about these blades seeing this in real life has got me wanting to dive in deeper.
This particular blade has got a 10" blade, 5.5" handle 1/4" thick spine. Hollow grind with lean convex edge, full tang, copper hardware, navy micarta ground extra thin for better edge alignment.
So far the feedback on this custom has been quite positive, what do you guys think?
With enough interest we might try something a little more involved that has some cast and contoured bolsters involved.
