Painting a knife blade

I saw this video for applying epoxy as a thin barrier coating and wanted to share incase anyone wanted to epoxy a blade instead of paint to get more durability.

Cool video! I bet with some care it could be made to work! Not sure if it would ever be as pretty as a sprayed coating, but who knows!

Do you mind a very inferior coating? If not, use header/bbq paint. If you want durability and chemically inert, go with Cerakote. If you're selling there's no paint option imo. You'll need to adjust your pricing accordingly, but you aren't doing right by your customers by using paint. Just my opinion.

I was thinking about heat paint.. the type for a woodstove

Painted blades will not last long regardless of the paint type.
