parachute knife design specs wanted

greetings from Alaska,

I'm looking for a design for an out the front parachute knife....I'd like one with a blade that drops ~sorry, I mean is assisted to fall~ out the front and locks.
Anyway, I'm looking for design information, or an exploded photo view that shows operation and construction of the rail and lock. Or ideas for design.

What you are looking for is a design for a gravity knife.
Basically, you need 2 sides, 2 liners, and end plug, and a locking mechanism. Most gravity knives don't " lock" closed, but the blade is retained by simple pressure from the locking mechanism. Slot one of the liners, and install a pin in the blade tang to ride in that slot.
There are many ways to lock it open. Various levers, plunge lock, lockback mechanism.
