Paracord lanyard end knot?

I'm gonna tie myself a paracord lanyard for my newly acquired Spyderco Para-Military2 and I would very much like to make the same kind of end knot on it that can be found on this model:

Does anyone know about a link to a tutorial on how to make an end knot like this? On this forum or anywhere else (I tried to google on it, but I couldn't find anything on this particular feature).

Search for "lanyard knot" on youtube. You'll see a bunch of video demos.

Lanyard knot is correct. It's also called a diamond knot. I tie them loose and use pliers to pull them tight and flush to the previous weave.

As a thought, I have often contemplated taking a fire starting rod, small fish hook(wrapped in tape) and about 20' of small gauge fishing line, and building the lanyard around it as a 'micro' survival kit. Thoughts?
