Thx fixedURL didn't work, post a picture.
was trying to figure that out too. saw and other looks like a file?At the risk of sounding dense, how exactly are those two attachments (sawblade and file) deployed? Those holes must fit into something....
My initial assumption was that they replaced the blade. But I see nothing suggesting that it is removable.was trying to figure that out too. saw and other looks like a file?

Then I thought maybe they fit into the back of the handle. But I still don't see anything there to lock them there either.
The paracord fits through those holes but can't imagine how that would work.
My last speculation was that maybe Czech paratroopers carry some other tool into which those saw/files fit.
This one really has me stumped.

Thank you! That solves the puzzle, including the paracord purpose.Photo posted
I will add a couple more photos , but you are correct. It's not a spectacular design but it definitely worksWay back in 1996 I did an article on this knife which pittboomber has correctly identified as a Czech Paratrooper issued knife. As best as I can remember it had a round metal bar, that fitted thru the handle and the hole in the saw and the file and provided a much stronger, and secure way to attach them to the handle than a piece of suspension line. Perhaps this is a new version as although the hole in the tools look like the version I had, the hole in the handle seems smaller. John
Just Googled "Images of Czech paratrooper knife" and my memory was correct . If you look at the second photo, the line going thru the handle, looks like it has a lining for the hole. I found a photo of that line out of the handle, and that brass (?) rim you see is actually that round metal bar, fastened to the end of the cord, which goes thru the handle and the tool, holding it to the handle.
