I have a Parker Cut Co knife that seems to have a little age on it. The only stamps on mine are "PARKER CUT CO" "SURGICAL STEEL JAPAN" on the clip blade tang. I found one online that looks identical to mine but with a 1980-4 or 1981-4 stamp on the spey blade tang. Can anyone give me a little info on this? I would post a picture but missed that day in advanced coding (couldn't figure it out).
Thank you in advance.

Parker had folders made a number of Seki makers initially. But eventually he stuck with Seizo Imai and the two of them
opened a factory in Seki. You will see quite a number of knives marked Parker-Imai.
That "Surgical Steel" is most likely Aus6.
Hope you can post a photo.

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.

The thing about "surgical steel" most knife users seem to miss is that a surgical scalpel is it is normally a one time use tool. It doesn't need to hold an edge for days on end just be razor sharp once.

Most marketing terms don't pass a rational analysis.
