Hey all,

I'm looking at buying some black manganese phosphate parkerizing solution for my damascus, anyone have good results with this and what vender did you go through.

Thanks Chad Harding

I would think Parkerizing would simply cover the damascus pattern. Most makers etch the metal. Some blue it. But, Parkerizing?
Parkerizing requires sandblasting the metal, which would destroy the damascus pattern, and the application of the solution itself would cover the metal.

No, you still etch it, then parkerize it, then knock the top off with 2000 drit all the same except the the latter stays jet black, I know of makers using it.
