As I learn and practice pattern welds this is one of the things that happens
I forge welded this with approximately 135 layers of 1084 and 1 of 15N20 shaping it into a ladder pattern
Heat treating was done in my shop in digitally controlled equipment to Rc 58-60
The spine is about 1/8 inch thick tapering to the edge and point
Stabilized maple handle
Overall length: 12 1/2 inches
Blade: 8 inches
Depth at the thickest is 1 5/8 inches
