I forged a billet with 135 layers of 15N20 and 1084 and made it into this filet
I heat treated with 5 cycles in my Paragon furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain throughout the blade. Proper heat treating is essential in a blade this thin.
Slight convex grind
The blade does flex but in not wimpy
Stabilized mango handle. I seldom put a dramatic curl like this on a damascus blade but I thought this one added to the knife rather than detracting from the blade.
Overall length" 11 inches
Blade: 6 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
