I have an aversion towards lockbacks. Dont sweat it, something will come along.

Interestingly, I'm generally averse to flippers but I like to try out different things and how I came to have the escort. It fills the hand well for moderate use in the woods and hiking on harder material whereas many folders go weight weenie and are as thin as can be and rough on the hands for anything above EDC work. I think the escort had a really nice balance but so does the swift and now in a backlock and not excessively heavy. Still love my millie but that blade thinness gets reserved for more food tasks than carving into wood and cardboard.

There are some cool things that come through so I think you're right that if you stick around something suiting your interests will come along.

Cheers

After careful consideration I want to put this up for the taking. As it required no PIF from me I am asking for nothing in return. Mule B75P with burl handles and hip sheath. I've found the handles to be a little too slick for me with gloves and I wear gloves a lot when working out in the woods. It's too nice to "utility up" with grip tape or roughing up the surface if someone else is willing to use it. Amazing slicer, it would make a nice hunting or kitchen knife if cleaned up well. I've used this minimally since it was gifted by @woodysone

The only limitations I'm requesting is that it goes to someone who is active in the forum, let's say something around 1 year in the forum and some amount of activity on the forums that is adequate as determined by me. Basically, if you only spend time in the classifieds this isn't for you.

I'll take this one. Didn't feel right nabbing it without some kind of PiF, so gave bikerector bikerector some options and he thought the alox electrician sounded good. Picked it up from a forum member on the exchange (no box) to see if it could unseat my pioneer, but alas, it did not... time for someone else to give it some love and pocket time!

I have a pen blank of gabon ebony with waxed ends. I believe someone on this site or one of my other knife groups gave me this years ago for knife making. It's just been sitting as a door stop so time to pass it on.

The Opinel Outdoors just came in from RayseM RayseM ! Very nice knife and is going immediately into this sheath and onto my running belt setup.
Thanks again RayseM RayseM ,

Great color match to the knife on the sheath and it looks perfect for its intended use. The sheath doesn't have a flap or strap retention - just the pocket right? Holds well enough? AND - does it have a belt loop?

I hope this all does as you hope.

I was pleasantly surprised by how close they were in color! The sheath has a flap that secures with velcro and both horizontal and vertical belt loops. I am very impressed with the sheath as well as the knife!

Late to read this, but do you offer something up to someone or just something randomly to the next person on the list? I assume someone would eventually send something neat or cool to you. Sorry for not reading up on it, but just wanted to ask. Sounds like fun, do you have to get on a list? Going back back back to page one for answers. How has everyone enjoyed this?

Rules are on page 1 for better details. Basically you're allowed to claim anything that has been offered (I have a list with everything that gets periodically updated) by offering something of equal or greater "rough value" (we're not sticklers but expect fairness) for someone else. The offering needs to be approved with the person who has offered up the prior item and if accepted then you would basically do the same for the next person if someone would like to claim yours and they would offer something for someone else. The big difference between this and a trade is that the person offering up something new has no idea who would claim the new item offered as it doesn't go to the person who you're claiming an item from.

Hopefully I explained that well enough, I'm still waking up.

bikerector bikerector the Kizer arrived today what a great knife very well built will see a lot of use. Well my iPhone took a crap yesterday so I’m posting off my wife’s I’ll be getting my new phone tommorow. But did want to wait that long to thank you for the knife.

Makael Makael along with my phone taking a crap I’m on 12s until Wednesday that was a surprise this morning. I’ll send out the carter prime ASAP on Wednesday sorry for the delay but it’s coming. I’ll email you the minute it’s sent ok.
Thanks again.

So, I've got a PIF up....
Kershaw amphibian, *taker picks item for J jaseman to claim on this offering post #1855

Since no one has come forward to pick an item for me, I'm gonna switch it up a little bit. I've narrowed it down between there separate PIF's to claim:
(providing all parties are acceptable to this - I'm pretty sure my Amphibian would be roughly comparable value)

1. Winchester hunter & CRKT spew from @AlwaysTomboy post # 1563
- I'm primarily interested in the CRK as a small EDC that I don't mind abusing, the Winchester would most likely just be relegated to a toolbox knife.

2. Kizer velox 2 from @l1ranger post 1834 & pics1884
- I like the slimness of this, it's a good looking knife, and I here mostly good things about Kizer - Plus, I no longer have a flipper in my rotation.

3. Steel Will Modus from @arrowhd post #1936
- Not real sure about the FRN scales, but man, do I like the Wharncliff blade- Plus, I no longer have a flipper in my rotation... LOL

Edited to add:
4. A completely different choice not on my list,
- but this would require some sort of consensus from the board. Though IF by some strange chance, enough people vote for the exact same one, and it has the most votes, I will honor it, and claim it.

So here's my game (provided OP and the mods are OK with it):
I'm gonna let the forum decide! Simply reply to the thread with a a vote of 1, 2, or 3, and tag me so I can keep track (only one vote per person please). It's a bonus if you give me a reason why you chose it (curiosity more than anything). Come Friday, I'll tally up the #'s, and claim the one with the most votes.

Should be fun, and might spark a bit more interest back into this PIF thread.

How is #2 still around? There were a handful of people asking about it. It would've been mine if it wasn't a flipper and even then I may still claim if some of my trade offers are accepted in different threads. It's about time for a change-up in my EDC carry after 2 years with the blue sheeps mini-grip I think, like the same thing with an M4 blade.

P.S. @Chris Still is a mini-grip more like the type of knife you're looking for? I may connections to one if things don't work out ;)

Go with 3. That was my old modus and man was it a sweet knife. It's a very utilitarian/workhorse style knife. The FRN doesn't feel too cheap or plasticky either
