This thread is moving along great.. Good to see things getting used. I claimed this Lauri blank last year and it is finally on my bench, decided on stacked leather.Screenshot_20190108-222210_Gallery.jpg
Gonna gift it after learning and making a pukko sheath for it...
I'll offer up a few items as well tomorrow when I can get some pics at home....
Hopefully I'm doing this right as I have not claimed anything yet. Here's some fun random stuff I have someone may enjoy I never used (new/mint) for various reasons:

Left to right: Small Maxpedition bag, FiiO E12A headphone amplifier, Warne quick release scope mounts (1" tube, .250" height, 20-36mm objectives), Amazon Fire stick, and Iron Bull 2.5 fat grips.

I'd like to claim the FiiO amp please.. big thanks as I'm a little deaf. @WillB I'll PM you to make sure it will work for my needs...

Here’s the aforementioned 48!

I wasn’t sure if I’d like the Bloodwood, but it looks and feels great. It looks even better in the right lighting, but the sun wasn’t cooperating with me today, haha.

Thanks again @blades&wrenches !
I've always admired that model in Bloodwood...

It’s become one of my absolute favorites. The Bloodwood really sets it off. It may be my favorite covers of any of my knives.

I’m not sure if I posted this in here or not. It’s a much better picture, though.

I think that I may have a Victorinox Pioneer or a Pattern 61 Soldier that I can offer. The Soldier may be a Wenger instead of a Vic. Will know for sure after the weekend.

Is the soldier basically a pioneer but with a bail? If so, very interested! Dibs? :D

Yes and no.

The Victorinox Soldier model issued to the troops is like the Pioneer but without the lanyard ring. However, they were not the only supplier. Wenger also had a contract to supply the same basic knife to the military. But this is where it gets interesting. Wenger's commercial offering normally has a bail and is known as a "Standard Issue" or "Model 70" in later years. The only difference between Wenger's two commercial offerings is lack of a production date stamped on the model 70.

Victorinox has offered the "Soldier" as a commercial product in the past and it can be found with or without the lanyard ring. It is very, very rare to find one with a ring.
In over six years of collecting, I have only seen one, maybe two, on ebay with the lanyard ring. I can tell you that some were made in 1997 and that seems to be the most common year of this rare knife.

Then you have the Dutch military and the South African military versions made by Vic. The Dutch models are marked with "KL" or "KM" and year of production stamped on a scale. "KM 92" for example. They are considered Pioneers by most serious collectors. The KL markings are the most common and usually offer lanyard rings but I have personally seen some with a bail. The "KM" markings denote navy/marine issue and are highly sought after. Other companies also made knives for the Dutch but don't seem to have the F&F that Victorinox offers.

As for the South African version, It is also considered a Pioneer and is identical to the Dutch version except for markings. Look for a 13 digit NATO NSN stock number. IIRC, the number is 7340-18-400-2428 but, I could be wrong. I passed up one of these about three years ago and now regret it.

Thanks for the info! The variations are interesting. One of my only complaints with the Pioneer is the key/lanyard ring (hate the sharpness of it); otherwise, easily my favorite SAK. Could just grind it off, but I would prefer a fob for pocket carry due to the size. Always considered trying to add a bail myself, but never got around to sourcing the part or figuring out what I need to do to get it done.

Sorry about being long winded. Look for a written test next week! :D

Many of the true issued Soldier models had a hollow rivet so it should not be to difficult to fabricate something. Let me see what I still have available.

Just a little warning, collecting Soldier models can get addicting and expensive. I have seen a Pattern 61 produced in 1962 sell for $410 dollars!!! And here's the thing, they're just a Pioneer with some cosmetic changes. Same steel, same soft powder coat, everything. Plus, the QC on the commercial Pioneer seems to be better and more consistent.

Claiming and offering knives is fine. Asking for stuff isn't as this isn't a "want to by" or "trade" forum. Please be cautious on asking for thing as it falls outside of the rules of this thread. More detailed rules are on the 1st page.

Thank you D dsalazar for stepping up to the plate on the list management. Looks great!
Sorry, I didn't mean it like that...
I wasn't "asking for stuff", more like saying what I like in a General Sense...

This is going to be my first Quality Knife so, even if someone offered one of the brands I mentionned, it doesn't mean I'll jump on it...I'm not a Collector.
I have very precise needs as far as what my knife needs to be able to do...
This was just a message meaning that if you aren't getting any hits from anyone, you can PM me if you saw that message...
Or if someone is really cool and they've seen my message and see something I might be interested in being announced they could also PM me to let me know...(and I'm well aware that it's MY duty to look for those "deals", but if someone wants to help me, that's cool too. The way I see it is if I miss an opportunity, then it wasn't for me...).

There's also the fact that the only thing I have to PIF is a rather expensive Custom made Longboard and even though I love the Pass it Forward idea, I'm also unable to work atm so I'm on Welfare until I can be accepted by Disability...so I can't afford to "exchange" it for something that isn't necessarily close in Value to it...

To put it simply, I just put my message there. With absolutely no expectations whatsoever. But it was there in case someone was looking for a Longboard for their kids/nephew or whatever...

But I still didn't get an answer to my Questions about the Benchmade AFCK, or the Very Personalized Blade by Chip aka @VWaltakis

Noted, I'll go to the "Want to Buy" or "Trade" Forum if the need to post another comment of the sort ever arise again, but you were such a Buzzkill that I doubt I'll ever will again...(I don't mean no Disrespect by this...)

Taotronics wireless earbuds. These were cnets and Amazon best budget earbuds in 2017.

I cleaned everything with alcohol, 30 minute charge gets about 2 to 3 hours of run time usually.

How do you tie them into your system? I am assuming they are Bluetooth.

I have zero experience with wireless headphones. I am a Koss Pro 4A kind of guy.:D For those of you that are not familiar with the Pro 4s, They were state of the art audio back in the late sixties, early seventies! So, I guess you cam say I'm old school.

Wireless connect via Bluetooth. They have a small built in battery and charge with micro usb. They work great when your moving around alot. You do lose some sound quality unless you get into high end.
