I am betting that Dozier would work well. If its the variant I think it is, its bright green and the size and weight arent bad at all. That color would be easy to find if dropped in the foliage.I love signing on between chores and duties and seeing how this thread is going. It makes me want to through in a nice offering again. I have a couple autos that may look good in someone else's hands.
@SunnyHours, are auto's legal for you to have?
I've looked through the list quick and I was wondering if someone could recommend me a knife for a little guy, because that's one of the extra tasks that has started last week. He's got some time before I let him hold onto some tools like these but I figure I better get something figured out in case he follows in dad's footsteps and develops good taste in knives. Camping and hiking oriented.
I see the buck 110 which is probably a bit big but everyone deserves to have and try one of those at some point. The russlock seems like a fair choice or the gerber multi-tool buck lockback combo. The mora or kabar dozer seem like fair pics as well. Opinions? Did I miss anything that would make a better choice?
No pictures of the Wenger and I will probably keep it for the time being. I have another that has a broken blade and I have been considering combining the two knives.sabre cat do you have pics of the dozier or more worn Wenger? And is the dozier as light as it looks?

How little is the "little guy"? Maybe a Buck 112 Ranger would be good for him. I think Buck now offers a lightweight version.
As for a Gerber multi-tool, may I suggest a MP 400. It is smaller and lighter than the 600 series but all the tools are the same except the pliers.
I dont think sunnyhours can have autos. https://www.bladeforums.com/threads...dc-personal-defense-in-1-or-2-knives.1635573/ . That buck lockback gerber multi tool combo would be a good pick for the little one. Every one does deserve to atleast try a buck and a multi tools is always good to have.I love signing on between chores and duties and seeing how this thread is going. Böker is actually on the way to @Methuselah as of yesterday(he claimed it in a pm after I posted pics), I believe the shaving kit should go out today
Its a frame lock with g10 scales. Tuya actually offers a kit with micarta scales and a deep carry clip for like $10.C Chris Still is that talisman a thick linerlock or a frame lock with scale.
Very small. It will be at least a year before he starts holding onto tools and another 1 or 2 before he starts using them but if I know anything about the past year or two, that year is going to go by faster than I care to recognize between work, school, and the daily chores around the home. Trying to get a headstart on things, already got him a Bk62 not knowing if that would be around when he's big enough for a full-size knife (he's a long ways off from that one simply from a hand size perspective).
And I'll be honest, this gives me more reason to PIF a nicer knife too as I'll probably drop my AFO into the pool.
