So after a long week of work, and dealing with the bank for 3 hours because they literally stole 275 bucks from my account, I picked up a bottle of my new go-to whiskey and came home to this

Thanks BellaBlades BellaBlades , this thing is sweet and I'm already planning out what I'm going to do with it.

I'm sorry for the delay on the watches, but I will get those out within the next couple of days and send tracking

Nice looking bottle. Enjoy both.

I landed 2 Duck's Unlimited knives made by Imperial Ireland I might add to my small batch, which I prefer to let go as one group, they are decent knives I need to give them a little cleaning and once over I know one of them has some gritty action.

chuck4570 chuck4570 What batteries does that light take?

woodysone woodysone I'm thinking of claiming Chuck's light and your kizer for a Busse mean street ergo that I want to move. Seem fair, Chuck and Woody?

JupiterPaladin JupiterPaladin I will the package deal, I didn't claim anything for the package set I had.

It's been stripped by the previous owner and it's not the best job but it's still a very functional knife. It doesn't fit my hand, I wouldn't recommend to people with gorilla gloves unless you're not going to use it hard, but I wanted it for a woods companion and it didn't work out as nice. Would be a solid EDC if you need something tougher than a folder.

I do have this listed for sale so once the offer is accepted by Chuck and Woody, I'll withdraw it from there. I'm hoping this one moves fast. I am going to have a strong preference for someone putting up something nicer for to get "high-value" line going through the thread again. Seems like it adds a bit of life to the PIF thread for a while.

Edit: Volunteers like Boyscout leaders or gun safety educators, or similar, get a free pass from a PIF on this one if the thread will allow. I'm big into supporting competent volunteers to help train our youth to be better ladies and men when they're adults. I think volunteer sports coaches could be rolled into that as well, despite not needing a knife for that, less sure on the latter.

Sure bikerector bikerector , what you are putting up is great, hopefully your offer will put real life back into this.;):). Shoot me your mailing address and I will get this off next week.

bikerector bikerector this is ok by me. The light uses CR123 batteries and it uses 3 of them, I could offer a Surefire e2e light with some lamps that uses 2 batteries if you prefer, just let me know. PM me.

That is a very tempting blade! And for once small hands may actually benefit me with a fixed blade.

Oh and just to be clear I’m not claiming it, right now at least, haha. Just admiring it.

#30 Binlun Watch, PACKAGE:Buck 112, PVC saw, Kabar Big Brother (free to minors, with parent approval) bikerector bikerector #3895

Please remove: PACKAGE:Buck 112, PVC saw, Kabar Big Brother (free to minors, with parent approval)

I'm withdrawing that one. I haven't claimed anything with it and I'm planning to just throw some mods at the big brother instead now. Probably not going to find a knife as light as it is and as capable. BK9 is close, but still heavier. The brother will be even lighter when I'm done with it.

bikerector bikerector don't know much about the blade steel on the Busse, what is it similar to? (no interest in claiming... already picked up way too many fixed blades the past 2 months... just curious)

I think I might claim that Busse, I’ll send you a profile post bikerector bikerector to see if the offering is close enough.

Edit to add that i blame Deinos Deinos for making me think about it too much. If it weren’t for the force you awoken I could have went about my Sunday without a second thought, haha.

Not Chad, but the Busse's steel is a high end heat treated 52100, this is what I thought I read but memory is going.

Have yet to use 52100, but based on everything I have heard, sounds pretty sweet! Kinda seems like this is the difference between 3v and D3v. Thanks for the info

SR101 is easier to compare, it's literally 52100 according to many different accounts around several forums. I'll add that in to the specs so people know.

52100 is an amazing tool steel. It has more carbon and edge retention than 1095 and a lot more toughness, according to Larrin's charts on knifesteelnerds. It takes a very fine edge as well. I think the lack of use is equated to it not being available in sheets or bars for a really long time, so you had to forge it from round shapes. It's my favorite non-stainless steel. Easy to maintain as well.

It patinas/rust as fast as O1, so caution needs to be taken in wet environments. Somehow, I feel like those two rust faster than 1095 even with 1095 having no chromium.

Infi, that's some different stuff entirely I'm not actually sure if there is an equivalent.
