I’m using Future boxes now for my 8 grandkids, they all have 3 or 4 knives from me, my father, and my 2 grandfathers, all just nice traditionals, plus I’m picking up knives here to add to the boxes to try out different styles. I’ve also included other items such as Zippo’s, pens, coins, I’ve even started to divide my view master reels that I have amassed. I just want to keep the past going.

Then you also need some Camels to go with the Zippo’s, they may never get used but?

Funny how say that, my Dad smoked Camels all his life and some of the rewards were wooden nickels with the Camel logo. It’s been years since I’ve seen them I’ll see if I can find them and put them in the boxes.

Anyone else wish to remove the return PiF requirements from their offerings? We have some that have been hanging out a while should I tag some people that may have forgotten they had offerings still listed?

Probably wouldn’t hurt to tag, the top 15 have been there since at least February of this year.

No sir. Rules are in the first couple posts, biggest thing is that if you wish to claim something you should offer something(s) that is of equal or greater "rough" value. The person offering the item gets to decide if they think it's a fair offering.

We have allowed putting something into the pot without claiming anything for a future claim on something. That's hard to track to it's on you to remember what you offered and call it out when the time comes.

It's been a great thread so far and I think it's been pretty well managed by the group. Hang out and enjoy. We do get off-topic every now and then but it's a very light-hearted conversation.

Send me some info on the Scout knife and I'll come up with something else for the fund if it's what I'm looking for.

Here are the Buck 119 and the Case 640045R Scout Pattern:

I haven't used the 119 since I picked it up earlier in the thread. I carried the Case at my deer lease and on camp outs, but haven't used it much the last few years. It has some patina on the blade/tools, and a little bit of side to side play on the blade and can opener, but nothing I ever noticed during use.

You could not ask for a more practical set of knives.

I'll try. For the above set I offer this, a custom Hobo set, just completed by member Glennbad. The knife is a Colonial, with custom bolsters and bloodwood scales; unusual in that it also has the can opener. It's one of a kind, super practical, and in great shape.

If you're up to date on this thread please ignore.
If you've offered items that have not been claimed in a very long time, I am tagging you to ask if you would like to remove the return PiF requirement to get the old offering moving or even change it up? I will tag members with the oldest offerings. Thanks for your input guys!

That was a great offering. Huge fan of the "camp knife" style. Can't count the number of times I almost pulled the trigger on the Boker Camp Knife in stag.
