sm2, good thread you have here. When my mom was younger she had a neighbor from down south that used to make orange juice like that with her. It made enough of an impact on her that when i was younger she would take a juicer like you described out a few time a year and make orange juice like that with my brother and I. We used old carbon steel Ka-Bar kitchen knives at that point. I haven done that in years, however every year my friends and I use presses I built out of scrap materials to press cider and wild grape juice. Kind of the northern equivalent I suppose. Joe
