I just bought a Pelican 1750 Double Rifle case. Does anyone know the best way to cut out the foam to fit two rifles? I know you are supposed to trace the guns and cut the shapes a little tight, but what is the best way to cut out the foam?

Thanks

I just modified my truck seats, also foam, and the best was my very sharp and thin Rapala fileting knife . Take your time and do a good job , a double should have that !

Start scoring the foam with a razor blade or Exacto Knife. Finish with a longer blade but make sure it is flat ground.

Thanks for the advice all. I used a long razor blade and went real slowly. It came out very nice:D

If you have time for a quick review, I would appreciate it. When I bought my last cases, I got Hardigg Stormcases because I liked the latches better. The Pelican latches I tried were stiff and hard on my hands and wrists. Now that they are owned by the same company, I'm wondering if Pelican has improved their latches. THANKS!
