Just wanted to give a heads up that CoffinTramp Pencil Pushers are back and pre-order is open on the website.
These are some of my favorite self defense knife-ish stabby things.
EDIT: Although a neat lil novelty, It's clear to me now that the pencil pusher is a not for carry - apologies

What's a Pencil pusher you ask? Welp, It's just like a regular pencil but made with kiln-dried oak with a G10 core!
I don't want to break the rules by posting his website but the company is CoffinTramp (just google that or add a .com to it)

It's a pencil in every way but instead of lead core it's G10 (or tool steel)

While pretty cool at a glance, this looks like a perfect opportunity for the usual grandstanding D.A. to push for a "concealed weapon with intent" charge, no matter how it went down. At least make it able to write somehow for an excuse...

Since you'd probably not be taking on 2+ guys with nothing except your steel pencil and a regular pencil will easily jank one guy at least once I figure a regular pencil is just as good and it actually writes. I've seen these pens that are all metal and actually write, no ink, if they can do that with these they might have a winner.

I do have to wonder whether a normal pencil was capable.
When I was in the 7th grade a kid I knew was stabbed in the abdomen with a pencil during a fight, but that's not exactly the same as a head / skull.

This is a cool NPE item, but I imagine difficult to reasonably carry on your person. In a pen drawer or laptop bag, though, would be a nice to have.

When I was in high school, one of the other students was training to be an EMT. The book he had contained a picture with caption that the person died from blood loss from a pencil through the cheek. Never forgot that comment.
