what is the max legal size able to carry in illinois? small fix blades legal?

The way I read the Illinois code is there is no limit to blade length (fixed or folder) as long as the knife is not carried with the intent to commit a crime. I am sure there are those that will disagree.

I totally agree with what you said above but I wanted to add that the Illinois law does say that over 3.5 inches is considered a dangerous weapon. However is doesn't say that there is anything wrong with carring one unless you intend to break the law with it.

When I go to Illinois, I don't carry anything over 3 inches, but then usually I'm going to visit my inlaws in Peoria. When I go to Quincy/Liberty and stay at her mom/stepdads farm, the sky is the limit
