Personal lubricant question

Hello, all.

My wife and I are trying to decide between the traditional KY Jelly, and something called Astroglide. KY is familiar and has a good track record, Astroglide I've never heard of, and their website was alright, but nothing special.

Does anyone know about these products? Any reports, good or bad? We haven't used either one yet, and would like some real world opinions, rather than advertising fluff.

Heard of both, haven't used either. I think KY is water-based and AG isn't, or vice versa.

First off, this has got to be the best thread ever in a public forum.

Both are water based and astroglide comes in flavors now according to their site. Never used either, sorry. If you have a Spencers at your local mall, they usually have a variety of flavors and brands if you wanna try other things.
 
I have tried both, and I have a feeling this post is going to end up in another forum just due to the subject matter.

I personally prefer the Astroglide over KY, it just seems to have a more slippery property to it and it takes very little to do the job and hold up. It is a bit more expensive from what I can remember. KY just didn't seem to work out as well for me, but some people I've talked to don't like the Astroglide because it makes things too slippery for their preference.

I know a few people who'll agree with me in saying that Astroglide helps things get into, um, difficult areas ALOT better than KY and continues to work throughout the act.

I will agree that astroglide is more slippery than KY, I think though it doesn't last as long though.

I'll second that. My vote is for Astroglide.
 
KY liquid works really well. They have some now that heats up as friction is applied.

Gadgets and Gear for LUBE!! Buwhahahahaaaa..we should also discuss which type of dildo is best when backpacking...since we are here..also maybe someone should vote for anal lube..

You're right in that KY is water based but Wet is the best although you'll pay for it. Astroglide does the job well enough but tends to get sticky after a bit. :footinmou

Fiancee and I have had good luck with "Maximus" which we purchased from www.blowfish.com. She and I both like that it's more gel-like and less runny. No experience with the others, but a word of warning....

Do NOT keep the personal lubricant and Farenheit 454 (muscle ache gel..think Ben Gay) both next to the bed, especially if the bottles are similar.
